Garage with Epoxy Flake Flooring

Leave request
  • Area: 450 sqft
  • Timeline: 3 days
  • System: Moisture Vapor Barrier, Epoxy Flake (Creekbed mix)

This project took place in a garage in Newtown, PA, where the existing floor already had an epoxy flake coating. However, the previous installation was not applied using the full broadcast method, leading to cracks appearing in the coating just two months after installation.

We carefully removed the old coating, performed a grind to properly prepare the surface, and then reinstalled the new floor. To protect the floor from moisture-related issues, we applied a moisture vapor barrier, ensuring better adhesion and long-term durability.

The client chose the Creekbed mix, a perfect blend of colors for the space. We used the full broadcast method for the flakes, ensuring a smooth and durable finish. This type of floor has no seams, which means there’s no place for dirt to accumulate, making it easy to clean and maintain. The floor was then topped with a polyaspartic protective coating, providing a strong and glossy topcoat that will stand the test of time.

The entire process, including the removal of the previous layers and installation of the new floor, took us three days to complete. The result? A fresh, durable, and long-lasting garage floor, with every detail carefully attended to.
