When installing any flooring system, we begin by grinding the concrete to prepare the surface. For basement spaces, we recommend applying a vapor barrier to protect against moisture, and this project included one. After the vapor barrier dried, we applied a base coat followed by metallic epoxy in two shades of grey.
Between each layer, we ensured the materials dried thoroughly before applying the next layer. Finally, we sealed the floor with a protective topcoat that not only provides a non-slip surface but also enhances the floor’s durability.
